Ｍonodiamesa , Prodiamesa , Odontomesa
Following 3 genera have common feuture; ventromental plate elongate with
many long or short setae, basal segment of antenna very thick. Especially
unique in Mentum and mandible .
Monodiamesa Large larvae ,10～12mm long., pale yellowish brown～grayish green. I found 3 species in the country widely. Lake Shitkotu, Lake Biwa,. Yasu River( Siga pref.) |

| Mentum. with 13 teeth; median tooth broad, concave. Ventromental plate elongate, relatively narrow, ; with many weak setae in beard. |
Mandible. with long, single apical tooth and 2 inner teeth. seta subdentalis short, sharp thorn like. Seta interna with 8 setae serrated. |
Antenna . With 4 segments, 3rd. and 4th. segment very short, basal segment very thick. Blade longer than flagellum. |

・Head thin and long. ・Eye spots 2 pairs , small. ・ＳⅠ:divided into several teeth apicaly.は ＳⅡ; thickand long needle like. Labral lamellae broad, pectinate. ・Pecten epipharyngis consisting of 3 scales spines. Premandible with 1 apical tooeh 1 inner accesory tooth. ・Prosercus with 7 ～8 anal setae. |
Body length 5～6 mm , grayish green
This larva was found in mountain stream of River Takahashi, in sandy pebble river bed .

Body length 5～6mm long, greenish brown. eye spot 1 pair. This larvae were found in the river of south Kamchatka ., not have been found in Japan.
